Technical Information

Application:

Spot repair and part painting

Substrates:

Old paint jobs (cleaned and sanded)
Fully hardened repair paint jobs (cleaned and sanded)
Electrophoretic dip paint (cleaned and sanded)
Small sanded-through spots (cleaned and sanded)
Prime large sanded-through spots on bare metal beforehand with SprayMax 1K Filler Primer or SprayMax 2K Epoxy Primer Filler

Pretreatment:

Thoroughly grind the substrate and clean with SprayMax Silicone Remover

Activate 2K:

Shake the can well for 2 min. before activating
Remove the red push button from the cap
Turn can 180° and put the push button on the pin in the can bottom
Turn the can with the cap upside down onto a stable base
Press the red trigger button with the ball of your thumb until the limit
After activating, shake can well for 2 min. once again

Spray application:

Wet-in-wet. 2 = 40µm
Sanding filler: 3–4 = 60–80µm
Interim flash off: approx. 5–10min (until matt stripped)

Drying times:

Dust dry: 5min at 20°C
Touch dry: 15min at 20°C
Sandable: 5 h at 20°C
IR: 30–45min

Application life:

Approx. 24 hours at 20°C room temperature
The application life depends on the ambient temperature.
Higher temperatures lead to shortened, lower temperatures to a longer pot life

Post treatment:

After 5h at 20°C wet with 800-1200 grain
Sandable or after 15min flash off time at 20°C
Wet-in-wet recoatable.
Can be recoated with all commercial quality 1K or 2K topcoats, solvents and water borne paints

400ml: Approx. 0.5m² - 1m² / spray can depending on the application thickness and substrate
250ml: Approx. 0.3m² - 0.6m² / spray can depending on the application thickness and substrate

Wear personal protection gear (respirator type: A2/P2 safety gloves, e.g. Latex or nitrile)
After finishing the painting process, turn the can over and spray the valve empty.
Dispose of the completely empty spray cans as recyclable material
